This is a kind of stamina training, Ian takes the pad the full length of the Dojang(training hall)with Jackie putting in a tremendous amount of kicks and pushing the pad backwards. But the hardest part is when she comes back down the Dojang in defence with the pad pushing back.

For Kup grades (white to black tag)it is these judges you have to impress, a black belt will take you through the commands for the basics that you need to learn for your next belt. Each grade also has a poomse (pattern) they need to learn for each grade, there is also controlled one step sparring as well as free sparring.So a certain standard of fitness is to be maintained.I think it's fair to say that most people like to get gradings behind them, though they go a lot easier if you put the effort before hand.
